We’re a foundation focused on creating awareness and rasing funds to tackle hunger, and poverty.
In the last couple of decades, global hunger and food insecurity has risen to unprecedented levels unlike ever before. Hunger has proved to be a major threat to human survival especially to young and innocent children. According to the UN each day, 25,000 people, including more than 10,000 children, die from hunger and related causes. Some 854 million people worldwide are estimated to be undernourished, and high food prices may drive another 100 million into poverty and hunger. In just the year 2021, more than 260,000 children aged under five may have died from extreme hunger or related diseases in East Africa since the start of the year. Using a conservative estimate, the humanitarian aid agency discovered that about 262,500 acutely malnourished children may have died between January and November 2021.
Imagine if every day you had to worry about where your next meal would come from, or if your children would be able to attend school because you couldn’t afford it. This is a reality for millions of people around the world, and we have the power to make a difference in their lives. - Overall, 5.6 million children under age five died in 2016, nearly 15,000 daily (World Health Organization [WHO], 2016). The risk of a child dying before five years of age is highest in Africa (76.5 per 1000 live births), about 8 times higher than in Europe (9.6 per 1000 live births) (WHO, 2016). This is how serious Global hunger is, and as of 2022 the numbers have only risen higher and higher. Children across the globe are helpless suffering from this disaster.
The world is facing a serious problem of hunger and poverty, affecting millions of people every day. To address this issue, The Universal Disaster Guardians Foundation was established with the aim of providing assistance and support to communities in need. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by hunger and poverty, and to work towards a future where everyone has access to basic necessities.. What We Do:
The U.D.G foundation works on the ground, providing aid and support to communities affected by hunger and poverty. Our programs and initiatives are designed to address the root causes of these issues and provide long-term solutions. We provide food, clothing, and hope to those in need, and work to improve access to basic human needs to help break the cycle of poverty.

Before 2020 and the Pandemic, the world had experienced three decades of progress in poverty reduction. More than 1 billion people had escaped extreme poverty, and the economies of the low-income countries gradually improved. After the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, this stalled and reversed all the progress which had been made. Just to name a few, the horrible effects of the Pandemic caused:
- In 2020 alone, the number of people living in extreme poverty rose by a staggering number, over 70 million.
- The income losses of the poorest 40% of the world’s population were twice as high as those of the richest 20%.
- Global median income declined by 4% in 2020.
